Financial Aid
The Office of Financial Aid and the School of Music work together to ensure students have access to the funding they need. This requires applicants to do three things:
- Fill out a FAFSA form
Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) guarantees automatic consideration for federal, state, and university financial aid programs. - Apply for scholarships in AwardSpring
You may apply for scholarships as soon as you receive your USF acceptance letter. The link to apply is on the Office of Financial Aid scholarship page. - Complete a School of Music Audition
Candidates for all music scholarships, both talent and need-based, are selected during auditions. Music scholarships are then finalized and awarded through AwardSpring. You must have an AwardSpring application on file for your music scholarship to be approved.
University Financial Aid
The University of South ذكذكتسئµ offers several forms of public and private financial aid, including scholarships, fellowships, grants, loans, and federal workstudy. The Office of Financial Aid strives to help make a USF education affordable for students and families. Information on university funding is available on the Office of Financial Aid website. - Scholarships & Fellowships

USF’s Federal Work Study Program allows eligible degree-seeking students to help fund their education through meaningful employment.
School of Music Scholarships & Assistantships
The School of Music offers both talent and need-based scholarships to outstanding incoming students. Music scholarship opportunities are available for both undergraduate and graduate students. Graduate students also may be considered for Graduate Assistantships that cover tuition and pay a stipend for career-building work within the School of Music.
- Undergraduate & Graduate Scholarships
Candidates for these awards are selected by faculty based on their auditions (talent awards) and FAFSA eligibility (need-based awards). Awards are finalized and administered by our Scholarship Committee. Only awardees with AwardSpring application on file will receive funding. - Graduate Assistantships
Each year, there are a limited ذكذكتسئµ of Graduate Assistantships available for incoming graduate students. Faculty select awardees based on their audition, interview and potential contributions to their intended field. Unlike scholarships, assistantships are finalized through USF Human Resources and do not require an AwardSpring application.
