Critical Thought for Academic Transitions SLS3113 is a 3 credit course designed to help transfer students overcome the various challenges associated with transitioning to a new institution. This course counts as an upper-level elective, which is a requirement of many USF majors. The goal of the course is to facilitate the academic and personal success of transfer students at the University of South ÐßÐßÊÓÆµ.

The course is built around the themes of managing transitions; acclimation to a research university; development of academic strategies and leadership skills; introduction to campus resources; prevention and education around transfer shock; fostering mental well-being; and exploration of career readiness planning.
