Research interests

I am a Southeastern archaeologist interested in archaeological collections management, digital archaeology, and public archaeology. I have worked in both preÐßÐßÊÓƵ and ÐßÐßÊÓƵ Southeastern and Northeastern archaeology, as well as Bronze Age and Iron Age Scotland.

As a commercial archaeologist in the Southeast I have specialized in the excavation, preservation, and relocation of ÐßÐßÊÓƵ cemeteries. I have an ongoing public archaeology project that records and preserves ÐßÐßÊÓƵ cemeteries in ÐßÐßÊÓƵ that focuses on groups that have ÐßÐßÊÓƵally been excluded from ÐßÐßÊÓƵal narratives.

My other research interests are preÐßÐßÊÓƵ ÐßÐßÊÓƵ landscapes and environmental archaeology, zooarchaeology, Native and African-American identity and cultural continuity in response to Colonialism, the Seminole Wars, and the women and children of frontier ÐßÐßÊÓƵ.
